Hiring the Hall

The Village Hall is available for hire to support the continuing provision of the Hall as a local resource. In line with the Objectives of HVH, endorsed by the Charity Commission, concessional rates are offered to local groups to foster well being and social cohesion. Rates have not increased for many years while costs have risen sharply. A modest increase has therefore been agreed for local residents and community users, with more competitive rates established for external and commercial hirers.

External rate - £40 per hour with a minimum hire of three hours.

Concessionary rates of £15 per hour are available for local and community users.

Please note that a completed Booking Form needs to be returned before the hire can be activated.

Facilities

The Hall has a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Following refurbishment, the Hall is an inviting and flexible meeting space. Outside there is a lawned garden area. The Hall is fully accessible with a wheelchair friendly ramp to the entrance and a disabled toilet. We have free WiFi, and an induction hearing loop is installed.

We have integrated audio-visual facilities in the main Hall, including wall mounted speakers and a ceiling mounted projector with drop-down screen. (Connections are provided via wall sockets). Chairs and folding tables are available too.

There is some unrestricted free on-road parking available outside the Hall, although we do ask users to park with consideration for local residents. As the Hall is in a quiet residential area, the hirer should ensure that the minimum of noise is made on arrival and departure, particularly late in the evening. All events should be finished by 11pm, unless a later time has been agreed with the management committee.

If you are interested in hiring the Hall, please contact the Bookings Manager (details on the Contacts & Useful Links page) for information about availability and/or a Booking Form.
