Hiring the Hall

The Village Hall is hired out at a cost of £10 per hour for our community users & £20 per hour for others/commercial users.

Facilities

The Hall has a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Following refurbishment, the Hall is an inviting and flexible meeting space. Outside there is a lawned garden area. The Hall is fully accessible with a wheelchair friendly ramp to the entrance and a disabled toilet. We have free WiFi, and an induction hearing loop is installed.

We have integrated audio-visual facilities in the main Hall, including wall mounted speakers and a ceiling mounted projector with drop-down screen. (Connections are provided via wall sockets). Chairs and folding tables are available too.

There is some unrestricted free on-road parking available outside the Hall, although we do ask users to park with consideration for local residents. As the Hall is in a quiet residential area, the hirer should ensure that the minimum of noise is made on arrival and departure, particularly late in the evening. All events should be finished by 11pm, unless a later time has been agreed with the management committee.

COVID-19

Following the Government announcement on 21st February 2022, all Plan B restrictions were lifted on 24th February. This removed the remaining legal restrictions while protecting people most vulnerable to COVID-19 and maintaining resilience as set out in the government’s COVID-19 Response: Living with COVID-19 guidance.

Despite the lifting of all legal restrictions, COVID-19 will remain a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we still need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to others and ourselves. It is important that village halls continue to play their part by understanding the situations where risks of COVID-19 infection and transmission are likely to be higher, and taking action to reduce these risks.

Event organisers/bookers are advised to undertake their own Risk Assessment for their use of the Hall and abide by the new Additional Conditions of Hire in addition to the normal conditions in our Hire Agreement. Copies of these documents can be downloaded by clicking the links, and will be sent out to hirers along with our regular booking form.

If you are interested in hiring the Hall, please contact the Bookings Manager (details on the Contacts & Useful Links page) for information about availability and/or a Booking Form.
